HPP-Nepal believes in improving the lives of those in Nepal who face immense daily struggles for a variety of reasons. We recognise there is no one thing causing these ongoing difficulties, but rather a multi-faceted web of contributing problems each needing to be addressed if peoples' lives are to improve.
With all the varying measures and definitions of poverty we prefer to focus on quality of life, why it might be low and how we can help improve it if it is. Whether a community is small or large, remote or central we do not discriminate who we help.
If a community is remote and small we will not shy away from helping them due to lower cost effectiveness. For us, these peoples' lives are equally important to those living in more cost effective communities and should not be ignored.
